when Manny came to town

. . . well almost.

Presidential candidate Manny Villar would have been the first presidentiable to visit Calbayog during the official campaign season. Orange ribbons, Manny posters and what have you were all over the place today. The Nacionalista Party tandem of Manny and Loren were expected to fly in this morning; and their supporters and fans (how's one different from the other?) waited. And by mid-afternoon a plane landed with only Loren and some nacionalista senatoriables. Surely the official explanation for Manny's absence would sound something like "because of some pressing concerns". Let me give you some pix I managed to take today.

Along with the Manny Villar posters, orange ribbons were seen tied in various areas in Calbayog. These are ribbons at the Julio Cardinal Rosales Plaza (above) and the Rosales bridge (pix below)
