Let me give you a picture which was scanned from the 1954 Fiesta Souvenir Program showing how the Sts. Peter and Paul Cathedral looked like before the renovation. I understand the said renovation was done in time for the Golden Jubillee of the Diocese of Calbayog in 1960. Note that bricks are nowhere to be found on the facade and the outer walls of the Cathedral.


And here are some more pictures I took last Sunday. It's the big chunk of bricks that fell off from the outer wall of the Cathedral, thanks to the over-excited workers.
