The LAKUB 2008 Culmination Performance goes onstage at 6:00 pm tonight at the Nijaga Park. Let me give you a short program introduction stated on the invitation I received from the City Arts and Culture Office (CACO):
The "LAKUB" (Lokal nga Arte, Kultura Ug Bahandi) is a confluence of folk dances, songs, siday, ismayling, and the aesthethics of digital-video creation in experimental format that serves as the primary component of the CACO's celebration of this year's National Arts Month.
The LAKUB 2008 culmination performance is a prelude to a grand local celebration, Calbayog City's 60th Charter Anniversary in October, which will feature the lavishness of Calbayog arts, culture and historical affluence.
