The LGU tonight tendered a farewell dinner to the visitors from Sukabumi, Indonesia. As with what the city has extended its VIP guests in the past so many months, the Indonesian guests were treated to Pagtigman which I fondly refer to as "sugba" festival.
As with the previous Pagtigman, the event started with the Mayor's welcome speech followed by the ritual dance by the Sarakiki-Hadang Performers whose lighting of the "sugbahan" stands marks the start of dinner. A presentation of Calbayog songs and dances ensues as guests have dinner and everthing is capped with the dancing of the kutratsa not only by the cultural performers but by all the VIPs present.
