New Year Celebration at the Sam Tai Chi Temple

Red was the color of the day at the Sam Tai Chi Temple. I was among the invited guests of the Chan Family during today's 14th Annual Celebration of the said temple which is located on the 4th floor of the E.C. Marketing Building along Rosales Boulevard.

I would like to share with you something from the flyers which served as guide for the guests.

The following blessings may be received during this year's anniversary celebration:
  1. From Ti Kong (God The Father) - for unity of the family, financial stability and good health.
  2. From Ong Bio Nio Nio (Mother of God the Father) - for proper guidance in decision-making.
  3. From Kuan Im (Goddess of Mercy) - for patience, tolerance and lots of love.
  4. From Ma Cho (Goddess of the Sea) - for freedom from worries.
  5. From Tua Tai Chi (Jesus), Di Tai Chi (Nazareno), Sam Tai Chi (Sto. Niño) - for contentment.

Let me share with you some pix which I managed to take during today's celebration

Thanks to the tent, I missed two characters completing the name of the place: "Diok Hong Tai Chi Tian"

I forgot to inquire and I'm still wondering about this: 3 pieces of jackfruit and squash were placed on the stair leading to the temple.

Guests who were not in red were requested to pin red rosettes; and everyone had to leave their shoes at the entrance.

The 3 cakes symbolizing Good Luck, Prosperity and Long Life.
